Yesterday was a great Sunday, maybe my best ever in this country.
My friends and I had figured out a way to stream NHL playoff games live over the Internet (don't message me asking how, can't share) and got together at 9AM to watch the Buffalo Sabres play the Ottawa Senators. None of us had seen a live hockey game in at least two years. I'm from Detroit, another friend is from Buffalo, and the third from Vancouver.
It was disappointing to see the Sabres lose it in OT, especially after a goal to tie it up with 5 seconds left in regulation, but by that time we were all pretty buzzed up off good Canadian beer. Then after the game we listened to the post-game radio show live over the web, and decided to call in. It was pretty cool to talk with the host for a few minutes, and then hang up and hear ourselves over the Internet after the delay.
Afterwards, having killed any chance of doing something productive, we went out to our beach (a 10minute drive), and had a barbeque with the Korean windsurfing team who owns it, and proceeded to get even drunker.
Dinner consisted of live ocotopus, and clams and scallops cooked in front of us which finished up around 11pm.
15 hours of consecutive drinking... followed by 14 hours of sleep. I feel great. No complaints about Korea. |

It's easy. No big secret. A high quality free feed is available at sopcast.com It's been available for quite a while, free and easy and quick. Games usually are finished by noon, though some first round west coast games pushed 1pm and beyond with OT. Hockey Night in Canada HNIC broadcasts sunday mornings 8:30am Korean time, and the stream at sopcast alternates in the playoffs between HNIC broadcasts and TSN ones.
Just show up at sopcast.com when the game is about to begin, or soon after, and a live, t.v.-quality stream shows up by clicking 'NHL3'. They also have NBA games and tons of other stuff. |

Don't you just love days like that in Korea? And don't you just love that they happen so much more often than back home? |
