I spent 6 years in Korea, and would really like to return. I would like to take my boyfriend with me, but he does not have a degree. We are trying to figure out what it is he could do there, besides being a "house wife" like I tease him about. I don't think he'd like that so much. Laughing I really haven't any ideas.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Somehow I don't the OP would be so keen on her boyfriend marrying a Korean girl just so he can get a Visa.

If he's got no degree, he's gonna have to do stuff under the table or be a student. That's pretty much it.

Thanks for all of your help everyone!

Unfortunately, no.. I don't really want my bf to marry a Korean so that he can be in Korea! LOL... Nor, do I really want to pimp him out.

I figured that it would be hard for him to get any other work. So, we'll just have to wait and see what happens. Thanks. Very Happy

Well, don't be too disheartened, the English Teacher community message board was hardly the right place to ask, since most of us have not figured it out ourselves yet. In Korea i met the following international people who were not English teachers, and not married to Koreans as far as i can remember.

Advertising agency account managers
Seafood exporters
Garment exporters (though less so these days)
Representative for importers of manufacturing equipment
Interpreters
Embassy Staff
Sports professionals (Basketball and Baseball)
Hotel personnel
Hookers
Programmers / system managers
Artists / Muscians

Good luck

I guess you could always get married and bring him over as a spouse.. But I dont know exactly how serious you are about that.
