I am looking to get a PGDE and I would like to get it in Korea or over the internet(partially) if possible. Any recommendations, cost, personal experience. Laughing I have a B.S. in Bus Admin and a TEFL but it seem that you need a teaching license, PGDE, to get the good international jobs(Thailand) Rolling Eyes . No I am not willing to return to America to get on. Twisted Evil

for American teacher certification the only one that is distance/online (that I have found through extensive searching) is through Drexel University. They are based in Philadelphia and have a good reputation there as a private university (I'm from Philadelphia). They suggest that students can do their required practice teaching through Department of Defense schools.

www.drexel.com

Other than USA, University of New England in Australia offers a distance program with AU-based residencies. However their dates for the one week residencies do not match with most Korean school/university holidays and you still need to arrange your 45-50 days of practice teaching.

If you find other options, please post them here. I've never heard of any program in Korea that offers (or would be recognized internationally) a PGDE.

PGDE...post graduate degree in Education?

Are you looking for a credential or a MA in Education?....if it's the credential side go for the links posted in the previous response. If it's a straight MAEd then check out any grad school worldwide with Distance/online learning and an Education department.

University of Phoenix and National University (both American) are the first two that come to mind for me.
