Just out of curiosity. How do you dress for your employment situation?

Jeans and t-shirt for me. Smart-arsed logo is optional.

Sometimes I wear a skirt/dress, other days I wear nice jeans with dressy tops or cute tees. My workplace is pretty trendy. I also carry my $450 designer bag. One girl was carrying her Mom's $1000 designer bag for awhile. I need a new bag. Got to keep up with everyone, huh?

right now golf shirt and slacks, i look like i belong on the links, btw i'm at univ. never been a suit and tie person

also wear athletic shoes, regular shoes are too uncomfortable for me and give me nasty shin splints with all the walking i do

we got one teacher at our univ who wears t shirts and shorts to teach in, i swear i dress better for the gym than this guy does to teach

I understand the desire to be comfortable, but I think it's just bad form to be sloppy at work. I go business casual. I do wear jeans sometimes, but only with a nice top, and I wear tshirts sometimes with a skirt.

I wear prada gowns and manolos. And a tiara. And I wrap a diamond studded white tiger fur around my shoulders.

I love clothes and like to look smart.

Shirt and tie for school. Not cheap stuff either.

I totally agree about bad form at work. But what's even worse bad form is when the room doesnt have either AC or heat. In that case, comfort comes before appearance (like at my last hakwon, I wore a winter coat in the winter and, against my directors wishes, shorts in the summer because he had neither heat nor AC.).

As long as they provide professional work environment, dress professionally... otherwise....

I'm going to have to agree with the pest here. If hagwon owners would turn on the heat before January, and the air-con before August, I think wearing your pretty silk tie would be an option.

Mind you, I think ties are ass and do my best to never wear those frigging dog collars. Suits are fine because they're pretty comfy, but ties need to go.
