Do you need to register if your here for 6 months on a tourist visa?
Got a buddy coming to Korea for 6 months. Does he have to register with immigration?
he may try his hand in Teaching?  
Anyone know what the best thing to do is?

No, seriously, what are you talking about? look at the faqs- what kind of tourist visa does your country have?
And what, do you (oh, I'm sorry, your "friend") think you'll show up and get privates? I don't see how that would happen. Or do you want to work at the kind of place that would employ that kind of person? I wouldn't. |

If you are here for more than 3 months (for any reason), then yes, you have to get an ARC. |

I know people who have come over without registering, done a camp, and then gone to Japan and come back with no problems. Also, it's not like they really examine your passport when you leave the country. I don't think anybody will do anything if your buddy stays here longer than his visa permits. I've seen it done before. We're not in China. |
