I came across a flyer from the Bupyeong Police Station in Incheon. It's where the Foreigners' Human Rights Protection Centre is located. Unfortunately, I don't have a scanner, so I'll just type the services that they have available.
What we do at the Foreigners' Human Rights Protection Centre:
1) The Centre provides counselling services to give advice on, and help find solutions to, difficulties arising from the differences of languages, culture and custom.
2) The Centre also offers counselling services regarding problems at works, such as the exploitation of foreign employees by employers, and delayed payments of wages.
3) The Centre conducts investigations including crime victim rescue, and holding the wrongdoer in custody.
4) The Centre provides legal and medical services in cooperation with Korea Legal Aid Corporation and medical institutes.
In Foreigners' Human Rights Protection Centre...
1) You can have a couneslling session even if you do not speak Korean.
2) The Centre quickly helps reinstate your rights in cooperation with related authorities and NGOs.
3) You can have a counselling session in various ways, via the telephone and mail.

Not sure if there's an office in Seoul. Hopefully, you'll never have to use this, but if you do, it's another resource that you can access. |
