So, We're probably going to China during summer vacation. I'm kind of Asiaed out, but its cheap to get there and I"m going to have very short notice of when my vacatio nwill actually be, so I figure China is a good choice.
Of course, I will go to Beijing and see the touristy stuff there. And take a trip to the wall. Blah Blah.
But what are some nice interesting things to do outside of Beijing (and Shanghai)? As I said, I"m kind of tired of traveling in Asia, so I would like to experience something a little differing from the norm. Any suggestions? |

I think most of China is off the path. The silk road, Uiger land, the road near India, Xian is tourist like but its worth it. The backpacker ghetto starts with a "G" and I think its in "Szechwan". No first hand knowledge, just day dream research. Good luck. |
