Those of us who have lived in Korea know that the web can be a weapon of choice. Koreans have been known to destroy web sites with complaints (Ohno, the olympic silver medal gymnists, even the world cup site last year when they lost to the Swiss). There is some energy that circulates among Koreans, and like little ants they mass together and build or destroy something with bali bali energy passed on from their genetically superior azumas.

The TIME poll is an example of this energy. But Time Magazine (sponsored by Hyundai) knows nothing of this ant energy. Their poll is taken as fact, yes, rain is the most influential person on this planet. The results are in, and only those who have lived in Korea know the true motives for voting this "star" into the number one position. Who do you think voted..........?

This conversation took place last year:

Student: "Bi is very popular in Korean pop music...very popular in the US, too. Time magazine (bla bla bla)"

Me: "What is Bi?"

Student: "Bi is man singer. Rain in Englishee. You don't know HIM?" (in a tone meaning the American should know Rain because Koreans say he's popular in the US)

Me: "He's not popular in the US"

Student: (thinking of reasons why teacher doesn't know who is famous in his own country)
