I have a couple of questions, and I can't get ahold of my recruiter:

(1) What size of photos do I need to have taken to send to Korea. The girl at Walmart told me Koreans use a smaller size than the Canadian Passport. Then I noticed on the VISA appication form, that the size is 35X45 mm. I believe Canadian photos are bigger. Are these photos to be 35X45 or are they to be the Canadian Passport size?

(2) My recruiter sent me a Visa application form. I'm pretty sure this form is only for here in Canada at the consulate, but I just want to double check. I do not sign an application form to send to Korea, that they submit on my behalf, correct?

Much appreciated. I can't UPS these documents until I know for certain. This time difference is a pain in the butt.

1. You are not applying for a Korean passport so don't worry about their sizes. If the Visa app. says ~~ then do it. Have fun!

2. About the VISA it depends where you're getting it processed. It would seem that if the recruiter sent it to you, then they expect you to get it done at a consulate close to your home, is that right? Just make sure you are thorough. Best of luck to you.
Cheers!

This application is from my recruiter. It says revised 2005 August. It just seems strange that all I have EVER read was get 4 extra passport photos. Two for Korea. Two for canada.

Now all of a sudden an outsider from Walmart has changed things up. And the form seems to agree.

So wtf. Why aren't recruiters being specific. Do they just crop the bigger photos to suit their need.

I am going to call the consulate. F*ck it. They gotta be open.

Ok.

Just spoke with Korean consulate here in Ottawa.

She says either will work. They have no problem cutting the bigger photo down to size. So it seems the Walmart girl was correct, although it doesn't really matter.

And, no visa application to Korea. Just for Ottawa.

So, just one more trip to Walmart. Then get my passport photocopied. Off to UPS. Done like dinner.
