I need a cheap hotel around the 30,000 to 50,000 range that is close to the airport. Does anyone know of an area within a 10-15 minute drive of the airport with a cluster of love hotels or something similar? I just need some sort of directions to give the cab driver...Thx!

when you get to the airport, talk to the people at tourist information- there's some little town that's literally called something like "Airport New Town" which is full of those kinds of places.

I think they'll pick you up and drop you off again for your flight in the morning too.

I live in the little town. It is called airport new city, or Unseo, there is a stop there now on the subway, so it is really convenient. You can call the info line for the city, 032 1330 and they should be able to help you with hotels. I don't know if there are any cheap ones though. If you get desperate PM me and I'll see if I can help more.

Almost all of the hotels near the airport are in the 70-90,000 range. I've looked for "love-motel" types but haven't had any luck. The cheapest is "hub-herb" http://www.lifeinkorea.com/Hotels/Korea/inchon/1027/E which is pretty good (70,000...even though the internet tells you that it's more!). A little more pricey is Hotel June. I've always paid 80,000 there (they have computers in most rooms), but last time they tried to charge me 90,000 (almost took my card and walked out until they reduced it to 80,000)!!

Virtually all of them have a free shuttle to the airport.

Other options you might consider: There's a new train that operates from Incheon (city) to the airport. You might find something cheaper there...or stay near Gimpo and take the bus from there.

The World Backpackers Airport Guesthouse is within that range. Don't know their year-round rates, but I stayed there last Feb for 40,000. It's clean and comfortable and they'll pick you up and/or take you back to the airport for free when you want to. It's about 10 minutes away. The owner speaks English and his wife speaks enough...
