No prescription needed.
All Korean (well most) pharmacists know basic English and of course know the names of 99% of medications and drugs in English.
Just pop into the Local Pharmacy say 'Laxative Juseyo' and there you go.
In the event they don't understand, point to your gut and say 'gassuh, blocking... dong - no! Apoyo!" and they'll get the message..... |

Try drinking a few of those "yogurt" drinks, the ones in the small plastiic bottle with foil lids. Those will clear you right out, esp. on an empty stomach. |

A good dose of kimchi chiggae will certainly do an effective job. |

I've found that anytime a Korean gives me something and says it's good for my digestion, I will very shortly need to crap badly. So, talk to your coworkers and see if they are making any tea or stuff like that. |

Shortly after I arrived for my first stint here my peroxided PEIslander female roomate told me we had to make a stop at the pharmacist. Ok. So we get there, and she sorta winds herself up and, doing that whole you-don't-understand-me-so-I'll-shout routine, points to her rump and belts out "No POOH!" The pharmacist and I both gawked at her, and she mistook his gawk for a lack of comprehension on his part and kicked it up a notch: "NO POOH! CAN'T SH!T". He gathered himself and gave her a bottle of little pills. As we walked out she gave a shake of her head and a 'These people!.
I'd go with 'laxative juseyo' and if that fails, well, the patented peroxide Cruella Deville routine is a fallback.
Beer is my laxative of choice - and tomorrow is Friday. |

Psyllium husk is on the shelf and labelled in English. At least it is at my pharmacy! |

The local beer (or enough of it) will clean you out the next day for sure. |

Maybe in Itaewon. Come by my neck of the woods, sometime.
BTW- Who needs a laxative in Korea? I sure haven't. Kimchi is enough- and if not, go for apple juice. |

OP- Say- "Seoul-sa"- like "salsa" but with "Seoul"- that's Korean for "the runs." |
Yeah, I always need a laxative when I have diarrhea. |

Uh, keep up with the times. I edited when I realized that the OP needed something completely different. |
