Wondering where they are in Seoul, which ones are the best to go to, how much they cost, etc.

I heard that the Hamilton Hotel in Itaewon has one. Is it open to people who are not hotel guests? If so, what's the fee?

Not sure about the cost but there are some scattered through Han River Riverside Park. Usually open during the summer only.

Hamilton hotel is fun in the summer, surprisingly good party atmosphere: people drinking beer, packed with some hotties(lots of club girls about), some music, more of a bar vibe, all young people with few to no kids. lasrt summer was about 10,000 won and beers poolside were 4000 won, but we always smuggled our own in. Downside was the water left everyones feet stained blue. Can't say what that was about, but that was the reason i never went into the pool. Nice young party atmosphere but swimming was out of the question for me.

Tower hotel near iteawon had clear, clean water but was packed like every outdoor pool including itaewon. Tower hotel was 8000 a day. The numerous pools along the river were only 4000 a day but filthy and packed. If you want to actually swim then i suggest going to one of the hotel pools like the Hilton or Hyatt which will ring yah about 20,000 aday, but if you want beers n eye candy then its Hamilton fist and then the other hotel pools or river pools.

I'm a guy so all i can tell yah is hamilton is good for candy n beer but not swimming. For swimming i go to yongsan pool for doing laps...sorry for the type O's but i've had a few and im on the way oout for a few more...

I remember when I came to visit Korea for a month or two in 1996, I think I was at the Tower Hotel pool? It had rainbow slides and everyone had to wear swim caps and goggles. I was somewhat in awe because they only wore speedoes and when some guys were coming out of the pool, you could see everything.

In TX, everyone wears swimming trunks, I'd only see speedoes at swim competitions. I used to time the swim competitions with other high schools for NHS volunteer thing. It was awesome seeing hot guys with muscular bodies in barely nothing bending over in front of your chair waiting for the whistle to blow.

Anyways, back to Towel Hotel pool, almost all the girls were wearing one piece suits. I guess bikinis aren't the thing over there. There wasn't any room to swim because it was so crowded. I remember seeing a lot of eyecandy though. Smile

And then someone famous, http://music.imbc.com/RetrieveAlbumInfo.aspx?albumID=4552 Ye-rin Lee showed up with her bodyguards and everyone had to get out of the pool, an d she went in there by herself singing. I guess she was making a music video. People seemed so starstruck. All these people were running to her with pens and papers and then she just did her thing and rushed out with a bunch of bodyguards.

So is this headcap and goggle thing still enforced? I felt really cheesy wearing them. Especially having long hair, and forcing it to fit into this tight rubber cap.

Yeah all along the Han and both sides. The one I've been to is near the Konguk Uni station. (Ttukseom Resort station?) You have to walk under the overpass.

The Hamilton is also fun because you don't need to wear the swimcaps or goggles...

And the feet turned blue because they painted the bottom of the pool w/some kind of never-dry paint...
