My elementary public school is running some sort of speaking competition next month, and I've been asked to suggest some stories or poems for them to learn. My co-teacher said it's better if they're available online so that the kids can do it at home. The competition is going to be for 1st to 6th grades, so we thought that we could make 3 levels (beginner, intermediate, advanced) and have 3 or 4 suggestions that the kids could choose from.
Any ideas on stories or poems that have worked well in your classes? |

You can try my kids karaoke file or also the leveled readers. Book nook too. These should provide lots of options regarding books / stories. Just got to take some time, scroll through and see what will work for your students. But the main point of my site is so that students can go there and access the files at home, redo what the teacher presents. Jr. Naver has a good site of flash stories for elementary students. Click my links button and it is listed somewhere.
