Check out the happy hour at Grana in the Novotel Ambassador Hotel in Gangnam, Seoul. It's 19,800 won per person and runs from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. weekdays. You get all you can drink beer (and perhaps house wine, but I'm not sure) and a seven-course buffet that includes pizza, beef with gravy, chicken and the like. The Philippine band starts at 8:30 p.m. and rocks the house.

For those close to Dongguk University, check out the Ambassador Sofitel's happy hour from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. All you can drink beer is 10,000 won and snack buffet is 15,000 won more.

I think I know where I'll be soon. Maybe next week at the Novotel. Yippee!!! Thank for the info. Can't wait to see the band, too.

Sounds good, screw the snack buffet. They'd loose money w/ me going. Very Happy

The Sofitel's Grana has a band, but the band starts at 8 p.m., an hour before happy hour ends. Probably the best thing is to get there around 7 p.m., get loaded and then let the band do the rest.

Honestly, I don't think the Sofitel's snack buffet is worth the extra 15,000 won, considering how good Novotel Gangnam's buffet was WITH booze.

This is an outright lie. I went there last night woth my Korean friend and the lady there told us there is NO BUFFET dinner, It was only snacks like chips, etc. There was no actual meal. Pizza, beef with gravy, chicken??? You must be lying or joking, or they changed their set-up. When we mentioned this so-called 6-9 thing, the lady there said "No, there is no such thing. I saw finger foods, chips, etc. We went for samgyet'ang instead.

Which one did you go to? I've been to both and they DID have them. At the Novotel Gangnam, I had pizza, beef and other filling stuff. Chips and other appetizers were there, but I know what I ate.

I went to Novotel Gangnam two weeks ago on a Monday, and I DID eat pizza, beef with gravy and other stuff. I just called Novotel and they said they DO have a happy hour at Grana.

I'm pretty sure it's just draft beer and MAYBE house wine. Just ask what is included.

Well, I went there yesterday with my Korean friend, and the lady there told us "No buffet". "No meal". I looked at the table and only saw chips, and four metal pots with hot food in them, I am assuming. Maybe she lied because she thought a Korean girl would not want that stuff. She said, "No meal, only snacks". She didn't know what we were talking about when we mentioned the 6-9 deal. I guess I should try again??? Rolling Eyes Oh, and this was Grana at Novotel in Gangnam right next to the Ritz Carlton.
