I need to do a visa run and haven't done so in years (from Korea).
If it were you coupled with your wizened experience(s)....where would you go?...Japan. Hong Kong, Taiwan??....other?
Please share any experiences including thoughts on costs...accomodation, consulars usefullness (or not), and overall experience.
Thanks for any insights. |

If it is the expected overnight run, then Osaka (if you are the Seoul/Gyeonggi area) is your best bet.
If you are farther south, then fukuoka is your best bet.
If you have the luxury to make / take a longer (time) run, then it would be worth your while to do HongKong or Bangkok. Flight prices are about the same for all 3. Consular service is typically overnight in all 3.
Flight times and flight timetables make the difference. 3 working days for HK or BKK and 2 working days for Osaka. |
