I was just curious how many hours per month everyone works OT. |

No actual hours beyond contracted hours, but I get paid for 20 or so hours a month. After school program. |

You may want to add more details to your query....not all overtime is created equal. I'm at 9 hours per week...so 5 hours OT per week won't kill me. Five extra hours for someone already at 30...well, dunno.
!shoosh,

I went from teaching 41 classes a week with my first hagwon gig to 10 classes a week 4 years later. I have really learned to value my extra time, so I don't work any overtime. |

I am currently working about 60 hrs a week though not as a teacher and in the US. I am currently investigating changing careers and coming to Korea to teach and doing a pro-forma budget. Obviously money is an important issue and I'm trying to figure out approximately how much I can make. I am currently married to a Korean women so I see an F-2 visa in my future which will give me more options as well as a greater earning capability. |

Ah, F-2 makes a difference. For those on E-2 visas, like myself, private tutoring is illegal. Forget OT on the job. You can do privates for real money. |

About 35-40 ot hours a month beyond my 120 hr base. Hated it at first, but now I'm always trying to defend it from other teachers trying to steal it.
Hell of a lot easier than traveling around to a bunch of privates- I'm already at school, and it is all within my working hours, just don't have any breaks. |

You look a little stressed. Take it easy. |

I don't work full-time, only as a contractor, so everything is "overtime". |
