No, it doesn't irk me.
I don't know what that phrase means or the context.
However, coming home from a day of whatever, and deciding you prefer to be alone is fine.
Coming home from a trip downstairs for mom's breakfast, or making your way to the door where mom left breakfast and you so boldy opened the door to retrieve it, and decidied you would rather be alone all day than deal with what's outside the door are different things.
that irks me
but again, i don't know the context. |

The term 'gloomy' in Korean means more like 'loner'. It's a growing trend and now places are being created to accomodate it. A few odd places don't have a minimum of 2 anymore for food. For example, Sam gyeop sal. |

Heck, I go for Samgyeop alone from time to time and just order two portions.  |
