Hi all-

Can you let me know the websites and e-mail addresses of your favorite travel agents in Korea? (I asked some related questions in the Travel Forum but that forum doesn't get hardly any traffic).

Please no phone numbers now (unless they're for future reference) since I'm not in Korea yet, but since I'm trying to line up a week-long trip to Taiwan in July and to Japan in late August I'd like to start e-mailing and inquiring so the prices don't get sky-high.

Thank you!

I usually use JoyTravel near City Hall. Good English and helpful.

I did have one negative experience with Joy a few years ago, though, when I had purchased a ticket and couldn't get an earlier date. I had to sit in a Yogwan for a month waiting for the flight.

Did you see the sticky in the travel forum? You're right in that there isn't much traffic there, but there is a long list of recommended travel agents there already.

I use Xanadu travel in Itaewon. They speak excellent English there and they have always given me good service.

I use Xanadu as well. They booked me a last minute ticket rather quickly with no hassle.

I've used them once, but I could've gotten my ticket cheaper elsewhere. Does this "good service" include low prices?

Zed Travel? Hmm, I have heard nothing but bad information on those guys. People being screwed over left and right but that's all second-hand info as I have never used them...

One more for Xanadu. Try to go during the week because it really gets busy on Saturdays. (Probably because they're good.)

I've been here off and on for 5 years and I don't have a favorite one. Many of them are con artists who enjoy ripping you off. I'll do you a huge favor though and tell you to steer clear of Zenith Travel. They will yank the rug out from under your feet.
