Do most schools in Korea pay for your visa application and provide you with a relocation allowance to defray cost of settling in Korea? How much does a visa application cost in US dollars? Should I be concern if they don't pay for these things. I'm new to this and I don't know what is fair and unfair. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

The visa application is usually paid by the employee rather than the school.
Whether or not you get a relocation allowance will depend on your contract ... I would say some will and some won't on that one... I would say it is more important to look at the whole package ... what you get altogether ... what they will supply rather than accepting or rejecting an offer just on the basis of a relocation allowance ... It is a common part of Public School contracts for just the first year ...
The thing to know is that pension and medical are NOT optional either for the employer or for the employee ...

I paid for my visa, but the school paid for the airfare. |
