How about a thread for people who inline skate. I skate around Gimpo but when I can get a ride, I go to the World Cup park by the Han River.
Anyone know a good place to get bearings and wheels? I've been looking for Bones Swiss 6 Bearings and I can't find them anywhere here. I don't think the local eMart/homeplus/GSMart will carry quality bearings/wheels. |

I have skates, but I'm really bad at it.
Any "learn-fast" tips? |

Hi OP, Dongdaemun is a really good place to buy all that stuff. Close to the baseball stadium, there are sports shops all over the place. Good luck. |

Yeah, don't fall.
Seriously, I would just practice. Make sure you get all your gear. The knee pads, elbow pads, wrist protection, helmet, etc... With all the stuff on you won't feel a thing when you fall.
I don't really have any tips. Your body will just learn the right way to skate. At first its really hard but as you keep practicing you just get into a rhythm. Your arms are just as important as your legs. You should take an inline skating lesson. They are cheap and are done in 20 people groups. These lessons get you learning the fundamentals. The best thing is they show you how to slow down and stop. |

First time I've heard that. I just read about it on the urban dictionary and laughed. Its true, I can't skate board. I've never tried to do any tricks on my inline skates though. |

Its called Rollerblading because the company that made the skates famous in the US was called "Rollerblade". Hence, people associated the brand name with the actual activity "rollerblading". The correct term in inline skating. |

Like calling a tissue "Kleenex"... or a photocopy machine a "Xerox machine". |
