I was sent this link to a really well-choreographed Turkish bank advertisement. Kinda cool, a sort of Buzzby Bixby routine...anyway, it got me thinking of some of the best ads I've seen over the years, but I can't find much on youtube. I know there's lots of good stuff there, but there's just so much shwag to churn through to find it.
So...if you guys can link me to any of your favourite ads from over the years, I'd be grateful.
I'm especially hoping to find a series of Japanese ads that were all over the place a few years ago. I think they were ads for insurance but I dunno. They all have these mad Rube Goldberg contraptions and a little steel pachinko ball that rolls around and does crazy and surprising stuff. Anybody remember that one?
A shot in the dark really, but I wanted to show that one to some of my students.
Anyways here's the Turk Bixby one...

I have enjoyed the Real Men of Genius commercials for Bud Lite. OK, so the beer sucks but the beer companies in America do have some great commercials. Just search YouTube for Real Men of Genius. |

The Honda Accord ad "COG" at the top of this page is the best one of these I've ever seen. I'm a big fan of the Rube Goldberg set ups. This one takes the prize IMHO. WOW!!! |
