Mail it surface mail about 50,000 won for a 2 kilo box and the PO supplies the boxes. |

How expensive is it to send things to North America by sea mail?
Anyone know the rates?
Thanks. |
2kg = 13k won
4kg = 18k
6kg = 23k
8kg = 28k
10kg = 33k
12kg = 38k
14kg = 43k
16kg = 48k
18kg = 53k
20 kg = 58,000 won
The largest PHYSICAL size is a #5 box (available at the post office)
Scroll down to surface mail. North America is Zone 4.

How much stuff are you talking about?
If just a couple extra suitcases then surface mail is your best bet.
If you are talking 1/2 a container or more then a freight forwarder (google is your friend - lots of ships going from here to NA and lots of trucks once you get there.
There is nothing reasonable in between those two. Sell it.

I shipped 8, 20 kg boxes to Canada in February. I paid just a touch over 50,000 for each (they were all within a few grams of 20 kg.). Maybe the price went up.\
Abiut 4 to 5 weeks for them to arrive and only one box was broken but nothing was lost, An expensive flat scrren TV/monitor and a Printer, Scabber etc. combo arrived in good shape.
Customs just shrugged and let them thorugh. |

North America is zone 3, making it 48,000 won for up to 20kg. |
