Ill be there next week and I wondering if this area is mischief-worthy. Like all night parties, etc.

Anyone know? Im a little concerned.

It's a big surfing destination in Oaxaca, isn't it? I haven't been to PE, but I've been to a destination nearby you might wanna check out. If you're flying in to PE you can take a taxi out to Puerto Angel and then the bus to Zipolite. Zipolite is quite a scene. Loads of expats, some great eating, nice beach. It's off the beaten track, and it's quite an experience. I spent a week there lounging in my hammock en route to Guatemala a while ago. Surf's not good on the Zipolite side, tho.

Between PE and Zipolite, I'm quite certain there's trouble to be found.

one of my buddies did a 4 month language immersion there and he said he had to try to keep himself out of trouble so he could study hard. my impression was that theres plenty of mischief to be had.

Used to live in Ciudad de Oaxaca. PE was a nice bus trip south. It's fun. Zipolite is better surfing, if experienced.

I can't really stand by what I said because I'm not really experienced...and that makes sense. A wild looking ride...
