Hi all,
I'm going to Canada this summer for good. I'm going to leave my computer here and buy a new one in Canada, simply because we have been here a while and I will have so much stuff to bring anyway. I know I will be paying for extra baggage so I am prioritizing.
My question: If I buy a version of Korean Windows XP in Korea and use it for the first time in Canada, am I going to get some error message that I can't use it at all? (Although I don't think software piracy is a good thing, I don't trust Microsoft anymore with the "Taddle Tale" software they make now). The ONLY reason I want Korean Windows now is so that my wife can view Korean websites, etc. I've installed ALL the Korean fonts, but some websites just won't display properly on an English OS, although many will. (e.g. www.ebay.co.kr - I can't get some fonts to display even with all the Korean fonts installed on an English OS.)
Anyway, I am using Ubuntu Linux (www.ubuntu.com) now and it works much better than other distributions I have tried in the past. It is very user friendly, so I don't really think I will buy another version of English Windows again. |

As long as you have a legit version of Windows you will have no problems with "zoning" on a primary installation. |
