I wonder if anyone can answer this question. I have a middle school position that finishes in December 2007, my wife has an academy position which finishes in October................once her job finishes (and thus her E-2 visa is terminated) can she stay here using my E-2 visa or does she have to leave and return on a tourist visa. Thanks in advance......... |

If you are LEGALLY married and can prove it (have a copy of your wedding certificate) she can change her status to F3 (dependant family) based on your E2 visa.
You will need:
Your ARC
your passport
a certificate of employment (to prove that you are still working)
a copy of your wedding certificate.
Her ARC
Her passport
a filled in application (from the counter at the immigration office)
and if I remember correctly 60k won. (this is not for sure because I don't have enough time to look it up).
IF you do not have / can't get a copy of the wedding certificate then she will have to make a run and return on a tourist visa.

My wife's Canadian but we got married in Thailand. She's a pro-rugby player for the Jinju Giants. |
