Any plans for then?

Ladt year, my school gave the whole week off. If that happens again, I'm going to Mongolia!

I want to learn how to sew my own clothes so I want to go somewhere in Asia where I can find good quailty fabric for a good price. Any suggestions based on first hand knowledge would be appreciated.

Best,

K

Dongdaemoon has some good fabric. Jinju has some great silk.

I second that. Dongdaemun has a huge market with everything you can imagine: every kind of material, buttons, and thread. I'm not much of a seamstress but my wife is skilled and she just learned from practicing and in the beginning buying patterns and making pants and shirts. With the pattern kits you just cut the material and follow the lines with your machine. After you gain confidence and skill you can move on to your own designs...at least that worked for her.

I've wanted to go to Mongolia since I was a little girl, so I can't wait to go. I hope I like it....

Chuseok YAY! i like nothing better than having to deal with ajosshi's who have been drinking for 5 days straight and who think they can come up to me as they are stumbling down the street and start yelling in my face about the FTA or whatever is the latest lame point of contention. I'm not being sarcastic about liking that either as that gives me a chance to smash them in the face, then kick them in the balls, in the name of self defense of course.
