|
|
last night i flushed a bunch of chicken and veggie scraps down the crapper before making some fried rice. i thought i might have overdone it (sent it all down with one flush) and alas, today it is clogged. i've tried the plunger but that's not working.
i found some drano in the closet that the previous tenant must have used, as the bottle is half emtpy. problem is i'm not korean and can't read the directions. can anyone give me some pointers? |

I could be wrong, but I'm fairly sure Drano won't work on a toilet... you need to have the water flowing in order for it to work.... otherwise it'll just sit there... you need to get something to actually push out whatever is clogging the toilet... I know you can buy "kits" in north america for this... but otherwise you might just want to talk to a plumber... |

If you can get your shower head down the toilet or into the drain turn the cold water on full blast with the shower head off.
That is sometimes enough to get things moving |

The problem with things like Drano is that if the water doesn't go down you now have a caustic toilet that you can't go sticking your hands down. ALso it can attack the pipes. You don't really want caustic material in contact with your pipes for too long. Not what they were designed for.
Have you stuck your hand up the u-bend to have a feel? |

Yeah, right, you just took a huge dump and your embarassd to admit it, thats why you wont put your hand in there! Heck, just go to the nearest subway toilet and hire a cleaning azuma to unclog it for you. She will only charge you 1,000 won, but you have to let her keep whatever she finds inside your toilet. |
