I don't think taking them OUT of the country is a problem, it's bringing liquor into a country this is regulated.
You CAN take it with you in your carry-on if you have it divided into 100 ml bottles which are stored in a quart size bag (I think those are the proper sizes...check the airline websites). I recommend getting a Barcardi 151 and mixing it to maximize your efforts. |

We've got quite a variety of answers here. I wonder which one, if any, is correct? I wanted to take some along w/me to the US last month but forgot to bring it in the first place... |

Like I said, just put a case of plastic bottles in your suitcase. I did that when I went to England during the winter vacation. As long as it's your suitcase, you'll almost certainly be fine and, in the unlikely situation that your bag is checked, at most you're only likely to lose the case. |

My sister lived in Korea before I did for 2 years. She is getting hitched in September and she asked me to bring a buttload of Jinro soju. I plan on getting nuked off of the airline booze and sleeping pills. |

I think he is refering to Barcardi 151. I forgot about that rule. So fill it up with 40% whiskey or vodka....not combustible. |

Exactly - I had a thread on here a while go - trying to warn readers of the dangers of longterm over-drinking on soju - it is very dangerous stuff (to your body).... ((it will mess with your internal organs))....
its cheap - so what - just spend a few more dollars - and buy some red-wine - much healthier.... |

I see no reason why you couldn't take Soju out of country. You might check with the customs department of the country you are going to on importing alcohol. There might be duty assessed by a customs agent to pay upon arrival.
Airlines usually won't serve you up enough to catch a buzz or help you sleep, but I was thinking along the same lines too. What if I put Cognac or Bacardi into 100 ml sized bottles and mixed it with Coca-Cola on the plane?
Of course, you don't need booze for a flight if you got a good sleeping pill to pass the time which I am going to look into obtaining some. |
