Mods, please don't take this off- it is different than the private discussion.

Has anybody else gotten (because of their resume on a certain other website) a call from a Korean guy offering privates in Seoul? I think his name was Mike, but I'm not sure.

I said sure, because I wanted to see where he was going with it, and he asked for my cell phone number so "he could get in touch with me as soon as people wanted me". I gave him a fake number and said I had to go- I did it cause I'm tired, and I didn't feel like getting into a long discussion about anything, but now I feel a little weird about it.

What's do you think his deal is? He knows it wouldn't be legal for me. Am I being too suspicious? Is he just some idiot private pimp in Seoul? I don't even live there now (and I won't for a couple of months). Why call me?

You're probably being paranoid, but why take the chance if you're not interested in doing privates. Did "Mike" know your visa status? It could be legit if you have an F-2 visa.

But the main purpose of my post here today, is to thank you, and thank you again, for changing your seriously irritating avatar...

Why not meet him first and see what he has to say. Even if you say you'll teach the private class, I don't think you've done anything illegal until money changes hands
