For those of us who delight in religious bigotry, here is the latest installment:

http://www.wnd.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=55642

I don't see how Joseph Smith was a pedophile.
I have read a great deal of anti-Mormon literature, but I don't remember reading any case of his sexually abusing a child.

I also don't see how Smith was a murderer.
As I understand the story, Smith and his followers broke into the office of a newspaper which had given his church bad publicity.
As a consequence, Smith and his followers got put in jail.
A lynch mob broke into the jail, one of their guns somehow found its way into Smith's hands, and Smith got killed in the gunfight.
Is this the event which Keller is referring to?
Of course, it is questionable that the event marks Smith as a "martyr," as the Mormons would have us believe.
On the other hand, he was acting in self-defense, so I would question that he was a murderer either.

As for Smith being a polygamist, I have no objection.

This isn't the first time I've heard the Mormon church associated with Satan.
Anti-Mormons charge the Mormon church with blasphemy for promising Godhood in a future life for those who live a good Mormon life.
Therefore, when the serpent promised Adam and Eve that "ye shall become as gods," he "preached the first Mormon sermon."

Despite all these charges, the anti-Mormons get their feelings hurt whenever the Mormons make a similar attack at mainline Christianity.
According to the living room sales spiel, Joseph Smith prayed to God, asking which denomination to join, and God answered that all of the denominations were "an abomination."

Anti-Mormon writers repeatedly express outrage over this.

In the Mormon marriage ceremony, an immaculately-dressed member of the church plays a Protestant minister. This church member asks for last-minute instruction from another player, who is disguised as Satan.

Christian ministers are "hirelings of Satan"? Anti-Mormon writers also express outrage over this.

They can both attack me, because I declare a plague o' both of your houses.
