|
|
Hi,
I'm hoping to find a way to make a picture file (.jpg or similar) taking one frame from a video file to use it to make a CD label.
I tried to find such an option in the softwares I have, but didn't find any. Maybe I'm not looking for the right thing, I don't know. Anyway, anyone can tell me how or which software I should use to do that? |

You "think" it can be done with Windows Movie Maker or you know for a fact that it can be? If it is the latter, then could you tell me how or which option in Windows Movie Maker to use? That was the first software I tried to use but couldn't find how to do it.
At any rate, I found myself a software that did the job pretty easily. It's a commercial one and the trial is good for only 5 days, but I only needed it for 5 minutes. Anyway, if I can find a better solution for the next time I want to get a snapshot from a movie, please fire away! I guess I should take a look at Adobe Premiere. |

| Nero Showtime (bundled with Nero 7) has a capture frame function. That's how I got my avatar. |

It's a fact.
Drag your video onto the timeline (not in the storyboard view) and drag the thingamajig over the video until you get to the frame that you want to capture. Then, in the preview window, right next to the split button, is a little camera button. Click on the camera button and save the jpeg. |

use GOM player
its the best video player i have seen till date
Its very much Made in Korea but popular internationally
in GOM player, u can capture entire video as frames (jpg), or extract a video clip, or just extract the audio out of the video or capture just the one screenshot!
im sure this will help
make sure when u install GOM, u select English as your language ))) |

find the frame you want and the click the "print screen" button on your keyboard. You've now got a screen shot, edit and print on label.
Alternatively you can use gom player pause where you want to get the picture and use the screen capture. You can find it somewhere on the right click menu. |
