Hi,

I'm just wondering if this is the best way to go. The more I read about the C-3 tourist visa, the better it sounds. 90 days. Plenty of time to find a job. Plus I have someone I can stay with until it happens, so I've got the accommodations taken care of. I actually want to come over and see the jobs for myself and I would feel better having the 90 than the 30. Has anyone taken this route? Also, did you get any questions from the airlines about your air ticket. I would prefer to get the C-3 and buy a one way ticket. Don't want to do the round-trip thing. I guess I might just buy a one way to Japan as proof of ongoing. Anyhow, it would be nice to check the schools out on the ground.

Yea, I heard that. Good luck, I have not met someone here with one of those but they are talked about frequently.

I had one. But I really was a tourist and not really looking for work. You do, "officially", need a round-trip ticket or reasonable facsimile of one.

I finished my contract and had to leave Korea. But I'm married to an Aussie (I'm American) and had to go back. So I chose to go to Bangkok, since it's cheap to stay and the food is always good. Anyway, when I got to the consulate, they told me they didn't offer that one there. WTF? Any ideas? Was this lady wrong? What are my other close options that AREN'T Japan?

Thanks to anyone who knows the answer.
