Gom player was mentioned several times in another thread. I have tried it and like it however i hate the icons it puts on all my avi files. Is there a way of installing it but not have the icons?

yes
when u install it,
make sure tht u dont make it the DEFAULT player for ur file types
in this way, u can retain ur original icons
or else, use any icon changer software
or tweak windows |

| Right click any avi file, select properties, then "opens with." Select the program you want to be the default program to open your avi files, and your icons should change to that program. |
