Hi,

I've a Korean Drivers License and ride a 125cc, but looking to trade up to something with a little more power (250/400cc).

Does my Korean license allow for 250cc bikes?

I'd much prefer get a 250 without the extra bike test than a 400 with the test...

TIA!

You need to take and pass the motorcycle license test to ride anything over 125cc.

That's what I thought, but I read several posts saying you can ride upto a 250 with a car license..

Anyway, is the bike test anything like getting a drivers license (which is a joke)? The search function on here never displays results for me.

I was wondering the same thing.

What about an international driver's license, does that cover the motorcycle too?

I also have a Class M California license, but I'm not sure if that will fly in Korea.

Yes. Only a Korean Motorcycle Endorsement on your Korean Driver's License for anything over 125CC (this includes those weird 150CC Daelims)

You'll need a special license, yes. Take the bike test (it's a pain in the butt).

Your CA -M license doesn't count (I found that out when I presented my TX -M license). An international -M license works, though.
