Ummm... no, that's for the basic model (1.66 Intel dual core, 512Mb RAM, 60Gb HDD, Combo drive). Mine has 1Gb RAM, a bigger HD [80Gb] and Superdrive.

What does the superdrive do?
Did you upgrade it yourself or is it bought like that?
The only two models I saw on offer were 1.6 and the 1.8. No mention of upgrades or anything like that.
Is the RAM in a single stick? |

The "Superdrive" is Apple's name for a DVD/CD burning drive (as opposed to the DVD player/CD burner "Combo" drive). The RAM was upgraded at the Apple Store in Yongsan when I bought it (I ordered the extra RAM and collected the Mini with it installed). You can get upgrades done if you pre-order at the store.
I believe the RAM is two matched 512Mb chips: the Intel Core Duo's apparently run better with matched pairs as opposed to single chips. I'll confirm tonight when I am at home.
Incidentally, the Mini hasn't been used that much as I have the MacBook Pro now which tends to be what I use most.
Cheers,

So if one wanted to upgrade the rather meager amount of memory they'd have to buy two 1 gig sticks and toss (or attempt to sell them but where and to who I don't know) the 512's...I'll offer 400,000. |

not to detract from smw's offering (i think it's a reasonable price he's asking for), but mrsquirrel... if you know how to bargain with technomart employees, you could get that 1.6 for 580,000 and the 1.8 for 790,000.
trust me, it's far from impossible. |

Currently if you bought his box with the upgrades directly from apple it would be 797,500. That's assuming he didn't buy apple care. That means that if you went to Yongsan or something you could probably get it new for 740,000 if you're lucky. It's hard to bargain down mac products because there are so few stores that sell them. Although, they may throw in things for free that would bring the relative price of the computer down.
If it still has warranty left on it, you could purchase the Apple Care still and extend it to 3 years.
400,000 is quite low, considering the original price and that macs depreciate much less quickly than other brands.
On the Korean mac users buy and sell board the same machine is selling used for 650,000+ with warranty left and 550,000~650,000 without. |

So... does anyone want to actually buy a Mac Mini?
To confirm: it has 2 x 512Mb RAM = 1Gb. It can be upgraded to 2Gb.
I cannot find the store receipt (it's around here somewhere...) but it was around a year ago I bought it. Maybe more, most likely less. To be on the safe side I'll say it won't have the option of the extended Applecare warranty. I think the price is pretty fair at 600,00 or close to it.
