Both my firefox and IE browsers close automatically with no warning when I try to access the avast or spybot search and destroy websites. Maybe it's because of the thing the internet installation guy did to my computer? He started setting up all this stuff and I don't know what he was doing. Anyways it's weird.

Ideas?

Also, I got a 250gb hdd but it only shows like 150. I need to create a new partition or what?

The comp is fubared cuz the guy did all this stuff before I politely asked him to stop but he didn't put on any security stuff first.

When I try to download any stuff related to security the browser closes, when I run that program you recommended it crashes...

Woa (?) is me what can I do other than formatting? Sad

What you are experiencing is Korean control at its best.

They don't want Koreans using Avast (was gaining in popularity, and free) and they are trying to keep control locally so that programs like V3 (which suck, IMHO) don't lose ground. This company is somehow in cahoots with all of this, I suspect.

It happened in the last few years with NateOn and thier messenger program. Korea was alarmed at how much Korean students were using MSN Messenger, so government offices and schools blocked all actions from MSN Messenger via firewall. Local Korean messengers (like NateOn) were allowed to work.

Welcome to Korea.
