Why do we call some threads "sticky"?
There's something unwholesome sounding about that. Shocked

What else could we name them?

Permanent threads
Important threads
Must read threads

Because we spit on them.

Get rid of them all. They're just a nuisance.

Just have one directing posters to the FAQ forum.

They are like 'sticky notes' or post-it notes that are always there to refer to.

They aren't permanent, they aren't always important, they are far from "must read"s and they are not at all representative of the "best" threads.

As you can see, there really is no better (and short) name for them.
