|
|
Hi there,
Before starting, i would just like to say: I'm posting this question, hoping not to be judged by others or whether they agree with those who chose a lifestyle other than you're own. I have a legitimate question which concerns me and I'm sure other would like clarification as well. I need a clearcut answer, I need facts as this is an area that one must understand before deciding to move to Korea
Beore i go any further, i have read a few threads here on the topic but many are contradictory, especially the one's with the polls.
here are my questions;
1. Is drug screening mandatory for a teaching position in South Korea. If so does this apply to both private and public institutions?
2. Is drug screening mandatory to obtain an E2 visa?
3. Is drug screening mandatory at immigration upon entering South Korea for the very firt time? If so, for those who do test positive, does this just result in being deported from the country, or will that individual be held on charges under Korean criminal law?
Thanks guys, and please no flaming.

No.
No.
No.
Edit: Unless you're planning on giving it up for good, don't come. There are countless examples of people getting busted because they were suspicious and a drug test was administered (Blood, hair) and they ended up in jail.
Countless.

I would NEVER consider having ANY sort of drugs in my possession while in Korea, I am more concerned about immigration policies.
for example; upon arriving to South Korea for the very first time, is there a chance of being requested to submit to urinalysis or something similar? If so, do you have the right to decline? |
