The first card I used to call the U.S., the U.K. and France worked fine. The card name was 'OK Yesphone card' - but I cannot find this card anymore. I got quite a few hours on the card for just a few thousand won.

The second card I bought called "International Calling Card U.S.A.' does not work - despite costing about 10.000 won. From the first time I used it - a voice comes on and tells me that the country code is not correct, despite the fact that I am dialling the same number that previously worked with the first card!

Can anyone recommend a calling card that works for the U.S., the U.K. and France which is not a 'scam card.?'

Looks like quite a few cards are complete scams.

Have any of you been scammed by non working cards?

Thanks for the input.

Sometimes you'll buy cards and they work for 3 hours. Other ones give you three minutes. Same in the US and probably everywhere else.

Scammers.

I use, The Gahn II. It's a W15,000 card but that small convenience store almost directly across from KFC in Itaewon sells it for W13,000. It gives you over 400 minutes to the states. I have also purchased this card in Busan. The Gahn II works for me.

I got a card that didn't work one time. I went back to the person and got a different activation code and that worked no problem.

Another time I bought a calling card around the middle of December. I neglected to see the expiry date was December 31st so I got a mere 2 weeks use out of it. So always check the date.

The women selling international calling cards outside the Hamilton hotel seems pretty good I think.
