For some netizens it's been pretty tough to swallow the victory by Miss Japan, while others say what's the big deal. Read all about it at Korea Beat, where we just say congrats to all.

Quote:
As soon as the truth of this was announced, netizens across the world sent their encouragement to Lee Ha-nui and were breathless in their discontent. Their interest in whether or not she would win is gathered up more than at any other time. Until the end of the final round interest about who would win was amplified.

For this reason, netizens are pretty much in a rabid frenzy over the news of the fourth-place finish. One netizen wrote in reaction that this is the power of a national power and that he couldnt understand how Miss Japan took first place. Also, allegations are surfacing about the pageant sponsor and profits made by Miss Japan.

Why don't you just be honest and change the title to "Shameless Promotion of My Blog"?

Looking at the photo I can understand why she won. looking at the Korean photo, I can understand why she came in fourth. I have seen better looking koreans than her.

People forget that these contests are not only based on beauty. Maybe Ms. Korea didn't have good enough goods inside the ole head.

Apparently Miss Japan was highly intelligent, well spoken and had something called substance. EDIT: Ah, I see you mentioned the same thing Dev.
Maybe all this is very damaging to the Korean psyche as one thing Koreans have prided themselves on is the beauty of their women. Japan won this year and came second last year. Perhaps that's why ultra competitive Koreans are so angry.

What's the problem anyway? I think Miss Japan is more beautiful anyway.

They look kinda the same in that picture but in other very different, I think. Anyway, all of these things are pretty much rigged or at least have biased judges in some way, no? I guess people can go nuts over pageants but... why bother.

Er, did all the contestants wear the same swimsuit, or did Miss Japan and Korea shop at the same store?

Maybe Ms. Korea acted like a Korean Princess like so many of the prettier women in Korea do.

For me (an probably the judges too) that's a HUGE turn-off.

That is typical on Koreans to complain when they lose. If they can't handle losing they shouldn't compete. What a rediculous thread. It would be much nicer if you could get all of the pics of the contestants Very Happy
