|
|
Today I went from Sindorim to Jamsil on line #2. I boarded around 11:45 am. The subway car was flooded with this classical music, concertos, or whatever (I know little of the subject). It was a little too loud for my liking. I had to blast up my MP3 to an uncomfortably high level to drown it out.
Overall, I didn't like it much, but it's better than hearing the aju-cows chew their cud. |

Do you mean the music they play when it's the last stop, or all through the trip? |

All through.
I ride the subway often, so it's definitely new. But the music wasn't playing on the way home. |

Wow, creepy. Must've been some sort of special promotion of some kind, or maybe a test. |

Used to be they played a piece at transfer stations...I used to know what it was (Water Music?) but cant recall.
Thought it was sort of classy and wanted to get a copy--hope someone knows... |

they have some designated classical music cars on each train, just like they have "light air conditioned/heated" and "heavy air conditioned/heated" cars. on the side, it should say in korean "음악차" or something.
i'm not sure what the purpose is (maybe "hey school kids, don't get on this car because we want peace & quiet") but i haven't seen the music cars on every line. |

Get off the subway.
It's a crowded air-choking flow of deadening senses regardless of musical attempts.

Isn't the end-of-the-line music Boccherini? |
