I'm a simple man. A simple man who likes to get drunk alone and bang away on electrical drum pads. Or maybe undress pixelated beauties, setting my heart a flutter. Whatever it is, it's at the arcade, where woes can be forgotten for 100won a pop.

I am blessed for having two arcades in my neighborhood but both are getting on in their years. Suyu is newest but more expensive. The best I have found was in Madeul where not only where the machines well maintained but the selection was immense. Oh what I would have given to be drunk then.

So where do you go to try and forget about the anguish of life?

I'd kill for a damn arcade with fighting games with all the buttons functioning and a useable joystick, but I gave up the search long ago...

if you want to get your ass handed to you in tekken, kof, or initial d, the arcade in kangnam station always seems to have good competition.

Ahhh I can totally help here

I go to the arcade located at the Isu subway stop (Line 4, also known as Chongshin University).

There are some directions. If you like fighting games, you'll love this place. Weekends are your best best. I play Capcom vs SNK 2 and there's about 4-5 of us who play regularly. There's tons more competition for other fighters as well.

They also have EZ 2 DJ, Pump It Up, Drummania V3, those mini karaoke rooms, lots of King Of Fighters, and of course Tekken...

Any questions just PM me, maybe I can arrange a gathering or something

Suyu is line 4, 8 stops from Dongdaemun Stadium, north. Maduel is one stop from Nowon, up in the northeast.

COEX does have an arcade but it's not all that great unless you want to watch some people tear it up on DDR. Personally I believe the Maduel one is bigger. The other reason I like Maduel is that they have a different selection, like a Dungeons and Dragons game, then the standard fare fighting/soccer/Bubble Bobble that most have.

I'll have to check that one out sometime. Not too far from me either.
