Iraq Occupation Coming to a Head Over Oil
The Oil Workers' Strike Threatens Maliki Government
By KEVIN ZEESE

The situation in Iraq is coming to a head. Oil workers have been on strike for three days and are being threatened by the Iraqi government and surrounded by the Iraqi military. The Parliament passed a resolution urging an end to the U.S. occupation and has refused to act on the oil law the U.S. is demanding. Both the Democrats in Congress and the Bush Administration have united around the passage of the oil law as the top benchmark for the Iraqi government.

The amount of replies to this thread would show how retarded most people find your post. If you think that the US only went there for oil, you need to read up on your facts a bit better.

...said the neo-con to the sane man.

If you believe that they went there without oil as their primary objective, then please explain why, after stating for years how this was all about right and wrong, good vs. evil, the U.S. vs. Al queda, when it came down to the oil the U.S. said, "Pass this oil bill granting Big Oil 80% of all oil revenues or we're out of here."

Go ahead, try.

While you are grappling with that one, add.. ah, screw it. Keep it simple.
