I'm a coon hunter, and I'm wondering if anyone knows of any other coon hunters here in Korea - foreign or Korean? What type of dogs do they use?
Any hunting clubs? Any dog breeders? Supply houses? (I haven't been able to find a proper head light, just those little hiking head lights)
Knock him out, John! |

It's an unfortunate synonym in the South I grant you. It's better to clarify raccoon when making the statement bout huntin'. |

Sweet Jeebus, would you shoot Tinkerbell? Don't you know that raccoons are playful, intelligent sprites in the East?
Aside: Isn't it a tragedy that Micheal Bay directed "Transformers"? |

Considering that 'coon' is a really bad racist slur in the UK, Australia, South Africa, parts of America, and New Zealand (pretty much most of the countries that are eligible for E-2 visas, and thus most of us on this board), it is surprising that it isn't "beep"ed on this board, whereas words like "bre@st" and "qu33r" are. Bizarre. |

It is a derogatory term for black people, yes, but it's very playground isn't it? I suspect it would never have crossed anyone's mind that someone would use it here.
What good comes from hunting racoons? Can you eat them? |

Koreans trap coons, but don't hunt with dogs and guns like we do in the Southern U.S.
Oh, I miss those coon hunting days. I used to coon hunt in the middle of the night in the tick infested back pasture.

Yes, you can eat them if you choose to. Raccoon fur makes nice hat. |

I suppose it is playground-ish but I was called one about hmm 3 years ago and I was nowhere near a playground at the time Like fashion, derogatory terms come back into fashion unfortunately...But I digress
I've never seen a raccoon in Korea before....where the hell are they? |

If you find out let me know. Sounds like fun. I'm thinking of starting a cock fighting club too. I live in a rural area now and have a backyard. So I'm going to start training some cocks, but I'll only be able to fight them against eachother. If anyone wants to get into this sport, train a cock or two and then we'll set up a meeting. Big money in it. Dog fighting too, but that's a more expensive proposition to get involved in. Roosters are cheap. |

I like the turn this thread has taken. C0ck fighting is awesome (to the naysayers that have never seen it live).
Are there any American Pit Bulls in Korea? Or are they a big no-no here too? |
