Hello sister/fellow ESL teachers!
I'm a student at the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne, and I'm collecting data for my study on the occurrences of target language culture (that's any culture associated with English-speaking countries) in ESL coursebooks. I've got a questionnaire that should take less than 10 minutes to complete, and I've included it in the body of this message. If you would prefer to receive it via email, please don't hesitate to PM me and say so. Thank you in advance for participating.

cairogal72,
I don't mean to "pick on" you - so don't take it that way. You are just one of many who do surveys the old style way. Drives me crazy! Especially when teaching nowadays entails being knowledgeable about multi media and technology (yes it does -- used to be the photocopier was a challenge but a must, now it is computer applications, a must...).
You will get much better response and be able to process data much more quickly and pictorially using many of the statistical packages out there, many available free. I use www.formdesk.com which has a basic free package which will process up to 30 replies. More than that, you have to pay the basic fee of 49 pounds I believe.
sorry to nitpik...but this works wonders for anyone doing research and especially open ended surveys.
