There is a popular program in Korea offering a TESOL certificate program for free...Yes, they advertise their TESOL certificate program as being free, but is it???
You are required to buy their training manual at $98.71
You are required to pay a certificate fee upon completion of their course at $59.50
So the FREE course actually costs $158.21
It is apparently a good program with hundreds of people taking the instruction, but buyer beware...there is really no such thing as free, even when it is advertised as such...
(Note) I like the program they offer because it does give people options, but it is also necessary to make sure if they are giving away something for free that it actually is free...

We were offered a free vacation to Jeju-do. Apparently, we won some sort of contest or draw box.
It was anything but free. We had to pay for airport tax, a service fee at the hotel, and a few more phantom taxes. It ended up being 160,000 won.
Still good for 2 people, 3 days in Jeju, but certainly not free. |

I can give a web address, but that would actually be advertising, so I'll PM it to you...As for 1000+ courses, I am with you on that one as well... |

Hold the Presses...The program I was talking about has removed it as a free program and it is now offerred for the following prices:
80 hour course - $179
120 hour course - $420
Residential 120 hour course - $850ish
So much for the free offering it used to be...They have hit the land of the pay your way programs now...Still one of the good programs in the country along with a couple of other online programs offering their training... |
