Koreans are nothing but class acts when it comes to protesting. This might top the mother/son team who cut off their fingers:

Quote:
SEOUL (Reuters) - South Korean police said on Monday they were investigating allegations of animal cruelty by a group which ripped apart a live piglet to protest against the move of a military office to their area.

There has been public outrage after local media published photographs and video of the two-month-old piglet, which had its legs torn off and was beheaded at a rally attended by about 1,500 protesters.

Anyone have a link to the video?

Oh wait... here's some charming, charming photos.

Worse here:

I'm not sure what their point was other than four drunk smelly ajussis can pull a pig's legs off. Avoid dating their daughters, fellas.

And actually to be fair, these white fellows seem to be using a chainsaw on a pig for kicks. This is really graphic.

you have to love the passion. You have to question the expression. You have to laugh at the absurdity.

You have to Question Arrow

According to a few news articles the pig was alive, and the squeals were sickening.

The police will not investigate any allegations of cruelty to dogs, but they will investigate if it's cruelty to a piglet? Rolling Eyes I didn't think there were any enforcable Korean laws against cruelty to animals of any sort.

Traditionally Koreans would tie up a thief and tear him apart whilst still alive with two oxen in the same manner outside the village gate...

Perhaps they class the Army as thieves who will be stealing their land and are showing what they'd like to do to them...
