Well, I did something stupid and washed my cell phone in the washing machine. I tried to dry it out and it still won't turn on. The cell phone is only like 3 months old and I bought it brand new. Its a motorola and theres a service center right down the street from me.
What should I do? Take it back to SK Telecom or go straight to the service center? The A/S is still good, will they be able to repair/replace it? |

I washed mine too back home... it was in a pocket of my pants that had a zipper on it and I just didn't realise it.
Anyway, mine was fine, but the battery life was shortened. Maybe a new battery would fix the problem? Go to the store and check. Otherwise you may have to pony up the cash for a new phone |

There is a place in itaewon that can do repairs...
I dropped my samsung in a cup of coffee, and it stopped working...
i took it in, and the guy took it apart and rewired it.. took 2 days and cost 40,000!
its near the Geckos... walk down the street keeping the Geckos on your right... pass the street that has the wolfhound, i think its a KTF shop, when you walk in it looks like a phone graveyard... He saved me from buying a new phone!
Good luck |

Did the same thing with my old phone; forgot it was attached to my knap sack as I threw both into my washer.
When it dried out, I cracked it against the wall and it worked just fine. For a few more months, anyway. |

I have washed mine twice now. No problems in the end, I took it into an LG repair shop and he cleaned it up and put it back together and it only cost me 10,000 won. You shouldn't use the battery again if you have a spair one. Otherwise that is what will cost you some money to replace the battery in the end. |

Take it back to where you bought it from and get an exchange...don't be a knucklehead and tell them you washed it, though. Just say it stopped working. |

I tried that. I bought it from an SK Telecom place near my building. the guy there was like "There's a Motorola service center right down the street. Go to them".
I took it to the service center, they opened the phone up and was like "It got wet." |
