I will be in Korea on Aug. 13th and looking for a teaching job (teaching kids) with a brand new post-baccalaureate TESOL certificate (108 hrs) under my belt. I have a Korean friend from my school who lives in Goyang that I will be staying with until I find a placement. I would like to know if anyone has recommendations of schools in the general area that are good to work for. Thanks in advance for your help!! Amy |

Lots of public schools looking for teachers in that area and in Paju as well. Whatever you do, stay away from hagwon jobs in Ilsan!

Yes. There's a rotten Hogwan Assocation in Ilsan that helps hogwans cheat foreign teachers. I'm as serious about that, too. There are MANY rotten hogwans in Ilsan.
hogwans = private schools
BTW- Goyang is a big area. Stay out of Ilsan and you should be able to find something decent. |
