I am not exactly a newbie, but have only lived here for short periods of time, and am here on another short stay.

1) Last time I was in Korea I only took the subway. When taking the Seoul buses, do you have to scan your card when you enter AND when you exit? Like the subway?

2) Where can I get a pedicure (foot treatment is more important than the painted nails)? And how much?

1. Yes, you scan it when entering and exiting. Or you get charged more money and it can screw up your card.

2. I have no idea, but probably at a massage parlor (legitimate parlor, not double barber pole parlors, though you may be able to get it there, too).

Question #1 brings me back to my first time on the subway. I was using a ticket and I didn't know that I was supposed to keep it. Whoops, couldn't go out again. I had to jump the turnstile.
